Community WiFi Locations
As part of our commitment to keeping Ashland connected, we have five free community WiFi locations in the downtown corridor with more on the way. You can currently connect to community WiFi at any of the locations shown on the map below.
Is it safe to connect?
Although our community WiFi connections do not have password protection, there's an easy way to make sure your personal information is protected. You simply need to make sure that any site over which you transmit information - by filling out a form, or logging onto a site with a password for example - has a valid security certificate. Sites with a valid SSL certificate encrypt data that travels between your device and their website.
If you are using Firefox, make sure the site has a green padlock next to the URL as shown below. If the padlock is yellow or red, your data is not secure.
